The Name of Jesus
The Name of Jesus is the most abused and misused name in the world. Many only ever hear the word as an expletive and yet to millions of people around the world it is the sweetest sound ever uttered.
His birth is celebrated throughout the world and for centuries history was reckoned as B.C. (before Christ) and A.D. (Anno Domini - after Christ).
The Name that was given to the baby born in Bethlehem signifies so much more than just an identification of an individual.
Jesus, the Greek translation of the name Jehoshua, was so named, because He will save His people from their sins

As a church we believe that God still heals today through the Name of Jesus. We pray for people whether they attend our church or not, and whether they are believers or not.
We have a wonderful privilege in using the Name of Jesus when we pray.
His name is unique.
Acts 4 : 12
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
It must be His name. Jesus Christ of Nazareth. It encompasses everything He is.

Followers of Jesus Christ have an enormous privilege, His Name. We are named Christians after Him and our intent is to be like Him, to make Him known as Saviour and healer, redeemer and Friend.
